This time I was outside to get some birds and inside to shoot some plants.

I had the G9II, the new 100-400 Panasonic and the 60mm OMDS macro(not mine, but the same Model) with me.
The G9II is much lighter and easier to grip than my previous GH6, but I wasn’t completely convinced in some aspects during the first 5 hours of testing.
I had relatively cold but sunny weather outside, but it was quite dark inside at around 25 degrees.
The lack of tiltability of the G9II’s screen was particularly noticeable to me when photographing plants with the macro lens.
For me, this means that I have to open the display completely every time just to be able to tilt it upwards by 50°.
The viewfinder seems smaller but the refresh rate is faster.
The camera exposes brighter than the GH6 -> means ISO down or shutter speed up.
In contrast to the GH6, I did not notice the extreme drowning of the dark areas, which cannot be saved even in post production.
I won’t comment on autofocus, stabilizer and general image quality this time, as the results here deviate too much from what I would expect.
I will certainly have the opportunity to make a direct comparison in the near future. And then I will also test with lenses I know.
